  	The Summerville News, Thursday, April 30, 1942, pg. 5,column 1 Mrs. E. A Woods, a life long resident of this County, died af­terseveral weeks illness Monday, April 27th at 5:50 a.m. Mrs. Woods was born Dec. 5th. 1862. She was a charter member ofPoplar Springs Baptist Church. Survived by four sons: W C. of Lyerly, Ga.; G. W. of Summerville;J. T. of Trion; and E. D. of Summerville. Three daughters: Mrs. A W Patrick ofRome. Ga.; Mrs. W. D. Warren of Summer­ville; and Mrs. G. W. Thomp­son ofCartersville, Ga. Three brothers: Mr Jim Cordle of Summerville; Mr. D. C.Cordle of Trion; and Joe Cordle of Armuchee. Two sisters: Mrs. John Bennett ofAragon. Ga.; and Mrs. Floyd Perry of Armuchee, Ga. Funeral services were conduct­ed from Trion Baptist Church Tuesdayafternoon at 2 o’clock. Revs. E. B. Shivers and S. L. Walker officiatingInterment in South Carolina Camp Ground. Trion Dept. Store In charge.
