  	Missouri Telegraph 11 January 1918 MRS. ELMIRA MCCALL DEAD Mrs. Elmira McCall, 55 years old, widow of the late Dr. Walter McCall, for many years a practicing physician at Portland and Steedman, died Friday night at the St. John’s hospital in St. Louis. The body was taken to Portland overnight and funeral services were held at noon Monday, with burial in the Portland cemetery. Mrs. McCall had been ill for a long time, suffering with a chronic ailment. She was operated on in April and had been in the hospital since that time, receiving practically no benefits from the operations. Mrs. McCall’s maiden name was Ella Ordstadt and she was a daughter of the late Henry Ordstadt, for many years a justice of the peace at Portland. She was married to Dr. McCall in the nineties and three children were born to the union, one son, Champ Clark McCall dying in his fourteenth year. Dr. McCall died a number of years ago. Mrs. McCall is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Julia Wren of St. Louis and Walter Perry McCall of Steedman. News of her death was received by Fulton relatives Sunday morning.
