  • Notes
    • Annie Haven Thwing, Inhabitants and Estates of the Town of Boston, 1630–1800, has extensive notes on William Keene (pg. 11751) who was a tailor/merchant/shipwright in Boston, and whose wife was Jane. Thwing here quotes a 1685 deed referring to William Keen’s wife, “the sd Jane being the only sister to John Keen, now beyond the seas, and the sd Jane and Mehitable being the nieces of John Stebbins, late of Roxbury, and legatees of his Will, deed house and land in Roxbury.”
