  • Notes
    • "As a relative and servant of William Tickner of Woodhill, Albury, he was a legatee in the latter's will, dated 27 April 1584 .... On 28 September 1617, signing by mark, with other residents of the parish, he made an agreement concerning tithes with (Rev.) William Oughtred, rector of Albury, which is found in the register.

By 12 October 1638 he was a copyhold tenant of the manor of Albury, which tenancy passed to his widow, daughter and son-in-law George Stobbold. His second marriage must have taken place during the chasm in the Albury registers (1623-56)." - Thompson, p. 196.
