    • Capt Richard Beers - "He served in the Pequot War of 1637. Deputy from Watertown to Massachusetts General Court, 1663-1675. Lieutenant in Watertown Trainband, 1663. Captain in King Phillip's War, 1675; led his company to the relief of the Northfield Garrison, was ambushed by the Indians and slain 4 Sept 1675 with many of his men."
